one member of the U.S.C.O. board lives near Toronto.
The rest of us are in various places in the province.
Your club is a member of a vast network across Ontario
and you're all equally important. You're concerns are
our concerns. If you don't have a field rep to keep
you in touch, read and share The
Voice with other members - better yet become a field
rep!
The
U.S.C.O. is currently assisting The University of Guelph
in collecting data about seniors and recreational gambling.
If you have received a letter from this office requesting
a response from your club or zone, please call 1-519-824-4120
ext. 53796 or ext. 56764. The professors will be pleased
to speak with you about the purpose of their research.
Our
activities, recent government initiatives, pension,
drug and health information and more are contained in
every issue of The Voice. Share your activities, drop
us a line to let us know what you're doing.
Send
in resolutions for debate at the convention. The convention
call is in this month's edition of The Voice. How do
you feel about the OHIP tax? … changes to the Drug
Benefit Program? (again) … increasing utility costs?
… affordable housing with long term in-home care
availability? … doctor shortages? … charitable
licenses? … and the list goes on ...
Come
to the convention!!!
